on the brighter side

Hey! Sorry I don't have a scanner and the only way I can think to show you an old picture from high school is holding it up to the mac! Sorry the picture of me and my friend Leah acting like we were on Goth Talk is the only one I can find from that prom!

The point is, my senior year prom dress still fits! And not in the "if you're going for the sausage casing look" either. Like legitimately, which is awesome, since I've made the hasty decision to wear it to tonight's Frosty Ball over the black dress I was originally going to wear. It's a bit more regal looking with my broomball shoes and striking with the leopard print gloves. I'm clearly going to klass this joint up tonight like it's my job. Pictures to follow, naturally.

If we're being honest, the dress was never that form-fitting to begin with (my junior year dress is a completely different story and thus shall remain safely ensconced in its tupperware home underneath my bed) but I still think it's pretty awesome. I suppose that's one of the perks of being perpetually curvy and not one of those girls who suddenly stopped metabolizing cheeseburgers just by breathing at the age of 25--I've never had to get used to having hips and a rotund tummy because they've always been there.

Looking through a friend's box of high school pictures yesterday, it was interesting to see that most of the girls I know haven't changed too much in the past decade while the guys used to be SO SKINNY. And that's not even an underhanded jab insinuating that now they're fatty fats, because they're not--they're just more filled out, I guess, or manly. God, are we MEN and WOMEN now? How the fuck did that happen?

Anyway, it's PBR wishes and Utz cheezeball dreams tonight, kiddies!

Indeed. I am thinking you guys should get some of those Olan Mills shots on mugs, frisbees, T-shirts, fanny packs, etc.
