As I assume everyone has had this box on their calendar marked for months and months in wicked awesome glitter pen, I am confident you will also be tuning in to the premier of my beloved's show this evening at 8:30 on NBC.Frankly, guys, the buzz on Parks and Recreation ain't so hot, and while this obviously won't deter me from DVRing every episode they manage to churn out before lackluster ratings shut down production (hey, just being a realist here), I am sad for my Amy: I just want her to be afforded the opportunity to be LOUD, CRAZY, SPASTIC "I've Gotta KNIFE!" Amy from UCB days of yore, and I suspect this really isn't the proper medium for her to be at her most vibrant and lovable.
But maybe funny, nuanced performancs that don't too obtusely try to mimic The Office and some great one-liners from Aziz (love that guy) along with an enviable time slot--as discussed regarding Kath & Kim--will propel this show foward.
Fingers crossed. Now go read these interviews with Amy!:

I've had this shit set to record on my DVR for 2 weeks! Off to go watch it! What did you think?
I liked it, actually, better than I liked the pilot of 30 Rock, so I think that is a good sign. I think it will get funnier with time. This one got 2 guffaws out of me. I forget what the first one was, but the second one was "Lady Marmalaaaaaaaaaaaaard".
I liked it as well!! Lady Marmalard got a laugh out of me too, as did her falling into the pit and trying to get the drunk guy out of the slide and the deadbeat boyfriend scratching himself. Now let's see how it does in the ratings!
I watched and I liked, I'll keep this on the DVR list fo'so
